Before you apply
1. You'll need:
- Existing licence number for the Electrical Contractor you’ll represent as Management Representative (shown on the licence or search WA Licence Search).
- Management Representative evidence of competency:
- Complete "General Legislative Requirements" and "Establishing a Contracting Business" units (issued by an approved RTO within the last five years)
- OR Provide details of current or previous (within past five years) Management Representative appointment on an Electrical Contractor’s (EC) Licence in WA
- OR Provide evidence of current registration as an electrical contractor in another Australian State or Territory or New Zealand
- OR Provide evidence of being a designated Inspector within past five years.
- Proof of ID ready to upload for the Management Representative
2. Complete application form
Print or digitally complete the application form.

- Partnership or company- Register as Management Representative - Form R106

Licence applications typically take 6–8 weeks to process. We’ll contact you if we need any additional information, and you’ll receive an email once your licence has been finalised.
