A special occasion permit allows the dealer to temporarily carry on business at a specified location during a special occasion where sales would not otherwise be permitted under the Motor Vehicle Dealers Act 1973. An application must be submitted at least 7 days before the special occasion. A special occasion permit is not required for a new‑vehicle‑only display where the display location is not staffed.
