Your triennial certificate is valid for 3 years. Courtesy renewal reminder notices are sent by email. To ensure you receive reminders, ensure your contact details are up to date. To allow sufficient time for assessment, you should lodge your renewal application at least 4 weeks before your licence expiry date.

- Your licence number (shown on your licence or search WA Licence Search).
- Current copy of your Professional Indemnity and Fidelity Insurance Coverage from the Professional Indemnity and Fidelity Master Policy (if applicable).
- A police check (dated within the past 3 months, issued in your full legal name) for all partners/directors or the individual.
- Visa/Mastercard for fee payment.

Renewal date after late renewal
Show moreYou can renew your registration after it expires, and when your renewal takes effect depends on how late you renew:
Within 1 month of expiry
Renewal takes effect for 3 years from the day after the certificate expired.
More than 1 month, within 12 months after expiry
Renewal can start from the day after expiry only if you show reasonable cause and the Commissioner agrees; otherwise, it starts from the approval date.
More than 12 months after expiry
Applications lodged more than 24 months after expiry cannot be accepted. You will need to apply for a new registration. For current fees, visit Property industry licensing fees.
Put your licence on hold
You can surrender your triennial certificate anytime. After expiry or surrender, you have 60 days to put your licence on hold. If not done within 60 days, the licence ceases and cannot be renewed.
Renewal applications
Up to 12 months after placing your triennial certificate on hold
Renewal will take effect for a period of three years either from the day after the certificate was surrendered or the day the renewal is granted, as determined by the Commissioner.
More than 12 months after placing your triennial certificate on hold
Renewal is granted it will take effect for the period of three years from the day renewal is granted.
