  • evaluate the characteristics of profiles with potential acid sulfate soil (PASS) materials
  • determine the spatial extent of this natural geochemical hazard
  • classify and map acid sulfate soil risk areas to support management of acid sulfate soils in planning processes
  • broadly outline implications of the investigations for the management of PASS materials in the region.
