A total of $750,000 in grant funding is available as part of the Attraction and Retention Grants for Early Childhood Workers in the ECEC and OSHC Sectors in WA. The program provides grants to ECEC and OSHC services to fund initiatives that support the early childhood education and care workforce.
All services are eligible to apply, including for-profit providers, not-for-profit providers and local governments involved in ECEC service delivery.
Services must meet the following prerequisite rating against the National Quality Standards to be eligible:
- For metropolitan-based services, the service must be rated either provisional, or meeting or exceeding National Quality Standards.
- For regional-based services, services must be rated either provisional, or working towards, meeting or exceeding National Quality Standards.
In addition to meeting the grant assessment criteria, the Department of Communities may prioritise applications with consideration to the following:
- Funding a range of projects across WA, including regional and remote areas.
- Funding a range of service-types, including newly established OSHC services delivered on school sites.
- Funding a range of different services across WA.
