The WA Government will provide a weekly fuel update to keep the public informed on the state’s fuel security. 

These updates will detail the specific actions the Government is taking to manage supply chain issues caused by the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

Summary of current fuel situation (29 May)

What was achieved this week:

  • Last week 96 fuel outlets were inspected, and three infringements were issued.
  • This brings the total to 1,629 inspections and 85 infringements since the mandatory reporting measures began in early March.
  • The level of fuel stockouts remains lowest in the nation with an average of less than 1% of all outlets experiencing a stockout at any one time.
  • Fuel supply into Western Australian and distribution to key regions and industries remains uninterrupted.
  • Fuel companies are confident that shipments will arrive as planned for June and early July.
  • A direct donate option for the $100 Fuel Support Payment has been introduced for those who wish to gift their payment to charity.
  • This can be done via the ServiceWA app from 1 July.
