This report sets out updated Interim Environmental Quality Criteria based on the first three years of monitoring studies and laboratory investigations undertaken by Curtin University and the Murujuga Aboriginal Corporation.

This report presents updated Interim Environmental Quality Criteria (EQC) designed to help protect the petroglyphs of Murujuga. The updated Interim EQC proposed in this report are preliminary Guideline and Standard values based on controlled exposure studies and field observations to date.  

The Interim EQC presented here are intended ultimately to be used as part of an ongoing monitoring program to ensure the environmental values are protected. The Interim EQC will be updated following completion of the fourth year of research studies.
