Restricted electrical workers licence – Training record and logbook application

You can apply for a restricted electrical worker's licence for the disconnection and reconnection of fixed wired equipment on a like-for-like basis after completing a training record and logbook. 

Step 1: Request a training record and logbook

We recommend reviewing the forms to decide which is most appropriate. You can apply for multiple work area categories.   

• Electronics and communications equipment request form R118
• Plumbing, or plumbing and gasfitting appliances request form R119
• Motors and/or composite equipment request form R120
• Domestic electrical appliances request form R121

How to lodge your request

Step 2: Submit a completed training record and logbook

1. You'll need:

• A finalised training record and logbook
• Proof of ID ready to upload.
• A police check ready to upload (dated within the past 3 months).
• Completed Restricted Electrical Licence System Training Record and Logbook (purple logbook)
• Visa/Mastercard for fee payment.

2. Complete application form

Print or digitally complete the application form.
