Specialist Jurisdictions sits under the Magistrates Courts and Specialist Jurisdictions Directorate. The specialist jurisdictions include the Perth Children’s Court, Therapeutic Courts, Coroner’s Court, the Prisoner’s Review Board, Office of Criminal Injuries Compensation and the Fines Enforcement Registry.

Coroner's Court

Located in the CBD in the Central Law Courts Building, this location houses approximately around 33 non-judicial staff, and 4 Coroners, including the State Coroner.

Fines Enforcement Registry (FER)

The FER is a small business area, approximately 45 positions, with a range of Customer Service Officers and multiple Team Leader positions that are focused on helping the FER’s clientele to eliminate their debt.

General Court Intervention Program

Based in the heart of Perth CBD at the Magistrates Court of Western Australia, working with GCIP you will join a small innovative team which assists individuals with complex needs that may contribute to offending behaviours.

Office of Criminal Injuries Compensation

We have a team of highly motivated and dedicated staff focused on providing quality support to the judicial Assessors of Criminal Injuries Compensation, to ensure they have the information they need before them, so their decision-making process is fully informed.

Perth Children’s Court

Located on the Northbridge side of the railway line, opposite McIver Railway Station, this location houses 1.5 Judges including the President of the Children’s Court, 5 magistrates, as well as over 25 staff.
