Family and Domestic Violence Primary Prevention Grants Program 2026–2028

The Department of Communities is offering one-off grant funding through the Family and Domestic Violence Primary Prevention Grants Program 2026–2028.

Funding will support eligible organisations to deliver activities over a two-year period (2026–2028) that contribute to the prevention of violence against women and their children.

Funded programs will focus on primary prevention initiatives tailored for specific cohorts, such as men and boys, Aboriginal communities, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, people with disability and the LGBTIQA+ community.

The program will support initiatives that:

  • address the underlying drivers of family and domestic violence
  • promote gender equality and respectful relationships
  • strengthen community capability and engagement
  • deliver place-based and culturally appropriate responses.

Projects should:

  • focus on primary prevention (stopping violence before it occurs)
  • be evidence-informed and community-led
  • reflect the needs of the local communities across Western Australia.
