An organisational culture that supports children and young people will help them to understand what child safety and wellbeing means. Children and young people to be informed about their rights and responsibilities in an age appropriate way and actively participate in building an organisational culture that is safe for them.
Within an organisation, ultimate responsibility for child safety and wellbeing rests with the organisation and its workers (Australian Human Rights Commission 2018).
