At Risk Youth Accommodation

The At Risk Youth Accommodation program provides emergency overnight accommodation for young people aged 14 to 17 years.
Last updated:

The Department of Communities (Communities) currently funds a service provider to deliver the At Risk Youth Accommodation (ARYA) program in the Perth metropolitan area.

ARYA provides emergency overnight accommodation for at-risk young people between the ages of 14 and 17 years when no alternative suitable accommodation is available.

Communities recently undertook an evaluation of ARYA and is now in the process of developing a new service, BRIGHT, which will continue to provide emergency overnight accommodation while offering more wrap-around supports to the vulnerable cohort.

BRIGHT (Building Resilience Independence Guidance and Housing Transition) will include a targeted case management component to support young people to access pathways to longer term accommodation opportunities who are preparing to leave the care of the CEO.

BRIGHT will replace the current ARYA model in April 2027.

Request for tender

Communities has released a Request for Tender for the delivery of the new service which is expected to commence in April 2027.

The Request for Tender is open to Community Service Organisations and Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations and closes on Friday 7 August 2026.

All responses must be submitted via Tenders WA.
