Day two takes 10 senior women to Wooramel Hot Springs for a healing yarning session, offering a safe space to share, connect and learn about support available to prevent elder abuse. Many Elders in regional communities, particularly Aboriginal Elders, experience social isolation, financial dependence, or quiet forms of mistreatment. Shame, fear, and loyalty can stop older people from speaking out. By embedding WEAAD messaging into gentle, relationship-based activities, this project helps surface important conversations in safe, dignified ways.
