DTF plays a key role in serving the public interest by providing the State Government with independent economic and financial policy advice and administering revenue laws for the State.

Treasury and Finance Talent Hub

The Treasury and Finance Talent Hub has been established to continue to meet our objectives for high priority, urgent projects and attracting emerging skillsets to deliver new priorities.

  • Secondment/ Placement or transfer opportunities at Level (if current public sector officer).
  • Temporary deployment opportunities within DTF.

Graduate Program

Our Graduate Program runs for 18 months with three rotations across different areas of DTF. Your rotations will expose you to a range of high profile and complex State projects. You will liaise with a broad range of key internal and external stakeholders, build professional networks, and gain insight and knowledge into the diverse areas of DTF.

As a DTF Graduate Officer, you will work with a committed team of professionals, perform exciting and challenging work, and further develop your skills and knowledge in key areas of government.  The program offers a potential rotation to the Western Australian Treasury Corporation, as well as the possibility of securing a permanent position with DTF after 12 months.

Program highlights

  • Develop your skills with extensive training and an annual $2,000 personal development allocation

To be considered for this program you must:

  • have successfully completed a tertiary degree between December 2023 and December 2025;
  • demonstrate high academic achievement (weighted average mark of 70% or above);
  • be an Australian Citizen or an Australian permanent resident at the time you lodge your application; and
  • be available to start the program in mid-January 2026.
