This project is at the detailed project proposal phase of the Pilbara Environmental Offsets fund co-design and engagement framework. The initial business case has been endorsed by the PEOF Project Recommendation Group.
The focus of this project is Greater Bilby (Macrotis lagotis) habitat improvement, starting with initial bilby surveys to develop a baseline and inform management actions. These activities are likely to involve enhanced feral cat management and fire management.
As a secondary outcome, bat surveys will be carried out to inform potential bat projects.
