The WA Government has suspended the accreditation of Forext Solar from the WA Residential Battery Scheme after identifying issues with its ability to meet contractual requirements under the Scheme. We have taken this step to ensure the Scheme continues to meet the high standards expected of accredited installers and vendors.
There has been strong uptake with 11,462 rebates paid as of 15 February 2026, with over 169 MWh of useable energy capacity installed. Strong oversight is a key part of the Scheme, and we will not hesitate to act when vendors fail to meet the standards expected of them.
What happens next
Plenti, the Scheme’s administrator, will contact all affected consumers. Plenti will outline what this means for your installation and guide you through your options, including moving to another approved vendor. The WA Government will continue to monitor the situation to ensure consumers receive clear information and appropriate support. This suspension decision does not impact the rebate or no-interest loan application of any consumers with battery installations previously completed by Forext Solar.
Our priority is making sure the WA Residential Battery Scheme remains reliable, transparent, and focused on delivering good outcomes for Western Australian consumers.
