Our people: Their stories

Showcasing the diversity of those who work in the public sector
Last updated:

The public sector has more than 160,000 employees working in all kinds of roles and providing vital services to Western Australians. Many of them are quiet achievers, doing their jobs with commitment and passion.

Having our people tell their stories is one way we can showcase the important and often challenging work of the sector. It is also a way to showcase the diversity of our people.

As a sector we want to improve the representation of diverse groups in our workforce to better reflect the communities we serve. We welcome people from all backgrounds and walks of life.

Our stories begin with those from our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees. We are going to roll out stories from other diverse groups over the coming months.

You can find out more about diversity and inclusion in our strategy and action plans.

And if you are interested in working in the sector, we have nearly 20,000 jobs each year advertised online.
