How to complete the pre-licence test

If you live within 50km of Perth CBD, you will need to complete the test at our Cannington Office. Tests can be sat from 8.00am to 2.00pm weekdays and no appointment is required.

If you live more than 50km from Perth CBD, you will complete the test at your nearest Country Police Station. You will need to contact the Station to organise a time to sit the pre-licence test.

 

Agent Pre-Licence Tests

The Agent Pre-licence tests are based on the Security and Related Activities (Control) Act 1996 and the Security and Related Activities (Control) Regulations 1997, which are available at http://legislation.wa.gov.au. The test is open book, so you can have the Acts and Regulations printed or on your laptop, but you CANNOT use your mobile phone. You have one hour to complete the test and you need 90% to pass.

There are separate tests for Security Agent, Crowd Control Agent and Inquiry Agent.

 

Security Installer/Consultant Class 3 Pre-Licence Test

The Security Installer/Consultant Class 3 (Doors) pre-licence test is based on the AS 5040 Installation of Security Screen Doors and Window Grilles. The document can also be accessed through Standards Australia.

This test is closed book. You have one hour to complete the test and you need 80% to pass.
