Our 2025-26 Annual Report is now available.
The report reflects a year of supporting Western Australians to understand their rights and responsibilities under the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 through enquiry services, complaint handling, education and community engagement. While it captures the Commission's activities over the past year, at its heart are the people and communities we serve, and our ongoing work to advance equal opportunity across Western Australia.

During 2025-26, the Commission responded to 857 enquiries, with employment remaining the most common area of public life attracting enquiries. The Commission also finalised 430 accepted complaints, more than half (53.7%) of which related to employment. Impairment (disability) and race were among the most frequently raised grounds across both enquiries and complaints.
Education and engagement also remained a cornerstone of the Commission's work. Over the year, 1,328 people participated in community education activities across Western Australia, while 1,151 people participated in fee-for-service training programs. The Commission also connected with communities through regional visits, events, partnerships and outreach activities, reaching hundreds of people across regional Western Australia.
