Support for Western Australians experiencing rough sleeping continues with the awarding a five-year contract to St Patrick’s Community Support Service (St Pat’s) to deliver coordinated outreach services in Perth’s southern suburbs.
Forming part of the Booraka Danjoo service model, St Pat’s services, in partnership with Department of Communities will include engaging with people sleeping rough in Perth’s Southern Corridor, assessing their needs and connecting them to appropriate support, accommodation and housing options.
St Pat’s joins Karlup Aboriginal Corporation, i24s Aboriginal Corporation, and Nyoongar Outreach Services, who last month were awarded contracts to deliver services to the North-East, North-West and Central Corridors of Perth respectively and have now begun service delivery.
The establishment of Booraka Danjoo Coordinated Outreach Services is part of the State Government’s increased investment in homelessness services, delivering an additional $10.4 million to expand metropolitan homelessness assertive outreach services to provide support for rough sleepers in the Perth Metropolitan area.
St Pat’s will commence service delivery from October 2026.
