If there is misconduct and corruption including fraud in the government sector, we need ways to detect them so action can be taken to prevent them from re-occurring.

Drawing on the experiences of 5 authorities in developing and implementing their own detection systems, Developing Detection Systems is a practical guide for government authorities on how to get started.

It sets out a process to develop a detection system (which does not necessarily mean an IT system!) based on an authority’s particular needs and risks.

The guide is for all public authorities including public sector agencies, government boards and committees, local governments, public universities and government trading enterprises.
