An Expression of Interest is now open for membership on the Volunteering Community Reference Group (VCRG).

Members provide direct advice to the Minister for Volunteering on current trends, issues and opportunities related to volunteering in WA, helping to shape and strengthen the future of volunteering across the State.

A broad range of representatives from the volunteering community are encouraged to apply – particularly young people, LGBTIQA+ people, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, culturally and linguistically diverse people, people with disability and people in regional and remote areas of WA.

Up to 15 people from the volunteering sector sit on the VCRG, along with a representative from the Department of Communities and sector peak body Volunteering WA.

Submissions close at 4pm on Monday 24 August 2026.

See our Volunteering Community Reference Group web page for an application form and details about the Expression of Interest process, which is open to anyone with relatable skills, expertise and an interest in improving outcomes for volunteering in WA.
