The WA Government’s planning reforms have passed through both houses of State Parliament.

The reforms were urgently brought forward to support the wider economic response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and protect and create local jobs.

A new development application process will now be introduced to support significant, job-creating projects for the next 18 months.
