The Department of Communities’ three-month consultation process on reforming WA disability legislation closed on 10 June 2023. For more information about this process, view the Reforming WA disability legislation website.

People with disability, their families and carers, service providers and interested community members have shared their insights and lived experience as part of the consultation. This feedback will help us to ensure WA disability legislation is contemporary and relevant for people with disability in WA and those engaged in the sector.

Given the ongoing interest in WA disability legislation reform, the Department of Communities invites people with disability and interested community members to join a public forum to further discuss issues of importance for future WA disability legislation.

Members from the Ministerial Advisory Council on Disability will also be present to discuss the role of the Council and work it has recently completed, and will take questions on issues that are important to the lives of people with disability and their networks.

Join us on Friday 28 July 2023 from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM at the Boulevard Hall, 99 The Boulevard, Floreat in-person or online for an interactive discussion about the reforms – we want to hear your thoughts and ideas!
