The Department of Communities is calling for feedback and comment on Western Australia’s disability legislation.

Consultation will be open for a period of three months until 10 June 2023, and provides an opportunity for the voices of people with lived experience, service providers and other key stakeholders to shape the new legislation.

The engagement process focuses on identifying concerns, solutions and ideas from the WA community related to the principles applicable to, and safeguarding of, people with disability, access and inclusion, and the ongoing service provision for specific cohorts.

Feedback will help us to ensure the WA disability legislation is contemporary and relevant to the experiences of people with disability in WA and those engaged in the sector.

Submissions close on 10 June 2023.
