Disability Services Commission Board governance documents

The Disability Services Commission Board is mandated under the Disability Services Act 1993 to oversee the governance of the Disability Services Commission.

The board monitors the high-level governance of all disability services provided by Communities for Western Australians who are either living with or whose lives are affected by disability. 

The below documents describe the how the board will operate, the conduct and behaviour expected of each board member, including the chairperson, and sets out what the Minister for Disability Services expectations are of the board. The board has responded to the Minister for Disability Services with how it intends to achieve the Minister’s expectations.

Additional to these documents is the State Disability Strategy and Action Plan which also is overseen by the board.
