The Procurement Act 2020 allows the Department of Treasury and Finance to release General Procurement Directions. State agencies must comply with these Directions.

Recent changes
Due to Public Sector Reform which resulted in the transfer of responsibility for the Procurement Act 2020 from the Department of Finance to the Department of Treasury and Finance, all previous General Procurement Directions will be revoked on 1 July and replaced with the new General Procurement Directions (2025/03 through to 2025/15) which will come into effect on 1 July 2025.
