Regional planning and infrastructure frameworks

The WAPC, in partnership with Regional Development Commissions, Regional Development Australia and local governments has prepared regional planning and infrastructure frameworks for the State’s eight country planning regions.

The purpose of each framework is to establish a regional vision and basis for decision-making. The frameworks also introduce a number of planning initiatives, which form the basis of an ongoing work program for the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage.

Gascoyne

The Gascoyne regional planning and infrastructure framework provides an overall strategic context for land-use planning in the Gascoyne. 

Goldfields-Esperance

The Goldfields-Esperance regional planning and infrastructure framework provides an overall strategic context for land-use planning in the Goldfields-Esperance.

Great Southern

Finalised in 2015, the Great Southern regional planning and infrastructure framework provides an overall strategic context for land-use planning in the Great Southern.

Kimberley

The Kimberley regional planning and infrastructure framework provides an overall strategic context for land-use planning in the Kimberley.

Mid West

The Mid West regional planning and infrastructure framework provides an overall strategic context for land-use planning in the Mid West.

South West

Finalised in 2015, the South West regional planning and infrastructure framework provides an overall strategic context for land-use planning in the South West.

Wheatbelt

The Wheatbelt regional planning and infrastructure framework provides an overall strategic context for land-use planning in the Wheatbelt.
