Renew debt collector's licence

Details on renewing a debt collector's licence.

Your licence is valid for 3 years. Courtesy renewal reminder notices are sent by email. To ensure you receive reminders, ensure your contact details are up to date. To allow sufficient time for assessment, you should lodge your renewal application at least 4 weeks before your licence expiry date. 

Before you apply

1. You’ll need

  • Three business references completed using the 
    approved pro‑forma 
    • at least one referee must be external to your current workplace
  • An original fidelity bond or approved bank guarantee ($6,000 for individual applicants, $10,000 for company applicants)
  • Your licence number (shown on your licence or search WA Licence Search)
  • Written notification of trust account details, including:
    • account name(s), ensuring the licensee’s name is included
    • bank name and address
    • BSB and account number(s)
  • Visa or Mastercard for the renewal fee payment
