Submitting a new application

Before you apply 

1. You'll need:

• Provide proof of identity;
  • a copy of your current driver’s licence;
  • or a copy of your current passport;
  • or a copy of any other photographic identity document issued by a Government department or authority within Australia
• An 
  acceptable photograph for your licence card (clear passport style image of head and shoulders against a white background, no hats or sunglasses);
• Provide a copy of your qualification;
• A police check (dated within the past 3 months, issued in your full legal name);
• Visa/Mastercard for fee payment.

2. Complete application form

Print or digitally complete the relevant application form.

After your application has been submitted

Licence applications typically take 4-6 weeks to process. We’ll contact you if we need any additional information, and you’ll receive an email once your licence has been finalised.
