From 1 October 2025, the Baking Industry Award came into effect, replacing the Bakers (Metropolitan) Award, Bakers (Country) Award and Pastrycooks Award. For pay rates prior to 1 October 2025 please visit archived award summaries.
This award does not apply to shop assistants who are employed in a bakery, these employees are covered by the Shop and Warehouse (Wholesale and Retail Establishments) Award.
