Consultation of the Aboriginal Heritage Act review - phase three

Policy
Draft Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Bill 2020 for consultation.

The Bill establishes a modern approach to protecting Aboriginal cultural heritage and resets the relationship between land users and Traditional Owners.

Provisions under the Bill will improve the approvals process, provide rights of review to all parties, strengthen compliance and enforcement and improve record-keeping of cultural heritage and transparency in decision-making.
