Commissioning of Home Stretch WA

Home Stretch WA provides young people leaving out-of-home care in Western Australia with the option to continue to receive support up until the age of 21.
Last updated:

Home Stretch is a state-wide program that provides services and support to young people leaving out-of-home care (aged 17.5 to 21 years), to support their transition to independence and adulthood.

The Department of Communities (Communities) is undertaking a commissioning process to procure new service agreements to deliver the Home Stretch WA program.

Expressions of Interest

Communities is planning to release the Home Stretch WA Expressions of Interest on Tenders WA in February 2026.

If you have not already done so, please register or update your organisation’s details in Tenders WA for the announcement.

Background on the commissioning process

In August to October 2025, Communities held information sessions across the State to ensure current, interested and potential organisations are well prepared to respond to the proposed opportunity.

For those who were unable to attend the information sessions, an online video recording, presentation slides and frequently asked questions are provided below.

For any further questions, please contact HomeStretchWA@communities.wa.gov.au.
