Foster and Family Carer Learning

A range of learning and development opportunities are available to WA family and foster carers, and other members of the child’s care team.
Last updated:

The Department of Communities’ Family and Foster Care Learning Team offers a range of learning and development opportunities to support carers and care team members to build on their strengths, areas of interest, and knowledge and skills to better support children and young people in out-of-home care.

Topics are chosen in consultation with carers, our Carer Learning Advisory Group, Department staff, and the Foster Care Association WA. Presented by professionals in their field, the learning is interactive and engaging for participants.
