Oversight of child related services in Western Australia

Child safety is everyone’s responsibility, monitoring the care, safety and outcomes of services for children and young people is critical to ensuring their wellbeing.

A number of agencies are responsible for the oversight of services provided to children and young people in Western Australia. These agencies carry out a range of functions, have diverse powers and have distinct mandates.
