This workshop focuses on managing medium to high risk and/or high complexity goods and services contracts, including panel arrangements.
Who is this training suitable for?
Due to the specialist nature of this workshop, it is recommended you meet a minimum of three of the following criteria:
- Currently manage medium to high risk and/or high complexity Goods and Services contracts, including panel arrangements
- Contract management is the primary function of your role · Be deemed a specialist according to the Procurement Competency Matrix
- A WA Public Sector employee Level 7 or above
Finance will request further information from officers interested in attending this course to confirm you meet course requirements. You may not be offered a place on the course if you don’t meet these requirements.
If you are new to contract management, manage low value/low risk contracts, or only carry out contract management as a small portion of your job role, we recommend the following training:
- Introduction to Contract Management online modules
- Contract Management Essentials half-day workshop
- PCVP Module 5: Contract Management and Finalisation two-day training
Please note that the cost to attend PCVP module 5 is $300. Additional costs apply if you wish to undertake the assessment.
You will learn
- An advanced knowledge of contract management principles and practices in the context of the WA public sector
- Skills and knowledge to enhance your current practices, particularly in relation to the strategic and stakeholder relationship
- How to constructively invest time and energy to achieve results based on the type of contract
- How to manage contracts dynamically during periods of change
