Procurement Capability Indicator

The Procurement Capability Indicator (PCI) is a tool that can identify the technical capability of procurement professionals.
Last updated:

We have partnered with ArcBlue to develop the Procurement Capability Indicator (PCI). The PCI is an online tool that can be used by procurement professionals to identify their current capability in technical procurement activities. The PCI aligns with the Procurement Competency Matrix and covers both transactional and strategic procurement activities across all stages of the procurement lifecycle.

Agencies are encouraged to register their staff to be involved. PCI results will give insights into the needs of staff, help identify trends and shape training and development programs for the sector.

The tool is currently aimed at staff who:

  • work in the development or management of goods, services, ICT and community services contracts
  • undertake procurement or contract management activities as a core part of their role

To register staff to complete the PCI, or to learn more about the tool, email us.

Procurement Capability Indicator (PCI) Guide

We have developed a short video for all WA Government procurement professionals about the PCI. This is a one-stop guide for new and returning participants to maximise the use of the tool.
