About
The State Government is investing in Western Australia’s future STEM workforce through the launch of a competitive STEM Engagement Sponsorship Program.
Science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) skills underpin the Western Australian Government’s vision for a smart, diversified and decarbonised economy.
With STEM jobs growing at twice the rate of other roles, strengthening STEM capability will help ensure Western Australians can participate in emerging opportunities.
The Program supports the State’s mission update Future state, future skills: Accelerating STEM skills for Western Australia, and will sponsor organisations that deliver initiatives aligned to the priority areas:
- Career pathways and industry links – showcasing opportunities and fostering industry engagement to support education and training.
- Diversity and inclusion – attracting and retaining under-represented groups in STEM.
- STEM culture and literacy – building awareness, positive attitudes and foundational STEM literacy skills.
A maximum of up to $30,000 per application can be sought.
For further information please refer to the STEM Engagement Sponsorship: 2026 Application Guidelines webpage.
