Since 2011, there has been 42 rounds of the Local Capability Fund (LCF) where 608 businesses in Western Australia (323 of these businesses were regional) have received $22.7million.
From these funds 2,053 new employment opportunities and 255 apprenticeships have been created and more than $1.09 billion in contract awards has been secured by successful applicants.
The Local Capability Fund helps recipients improve their capability, capacity and competitiveness to supply goods, services and works to the Government, major projects and other important markets.
4 new Local Capability Fund rounds worth $2.2 million in total with grants of up to $50,000 are now open with more rounds to be released throughout 2023-24.
