Expressions of Interests (EOI) are now open, seeking qualified and experienced operator organisations to undertake the implementation and operation of two new Western Australian (WA) innovation hubs.
Funded by the New Industries and Innovation Fund (NIIF), formerly known as the New Industries Fund, these hubs will deliver tailored services and programs to support WA innovators and entrepreneurs through the startup to growth phases of business development.
- The Digital Futures Innovation Hub will ensure the State remains at the forefront of the digital revolution by strengthening Western Australia’s capability in AI, data science, cybersecurity, and emerging digital technologies.
- The WA Creative Technologies Innovation Hub will support creative industries State-wide, such as design, music, advertising, film, and media, as well as emerging technology sectors including gaming, software development, and immersive technologies.
The two new hubs will be funded at $2.7 million over four years, commencing 1 July 2026.
The State Government currently funds four innovation hubs – the WA Cyber Security Innovation Hub - CyberWest, the WA Data Science Innovation Hub, the WA Creative Tech Innovation Hub - Creative Tech Village and the WA Life Sciences Innovation Hub.
CyberWest, the WA Data Science Innovation Hub and the Creative Tech Village have completed funding rounds through the New Industries Fund and existing agreements are due to conclude on 30 June 2026.
