The Future of Fremantle Planning Committee values the importance of meaningful, ongoing dialogue with Aboriginal people in planning for Fremantle’s future and to achieve a vision that represents both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal cultures. 
 
Aboriginal consultancy Kambarang Services is leading an extensive program of engagement to foster ongoing collaboration with Aboriginal peoples and hear their perspectives, challenges and aspirations for the future of the area. 

The appointment of Whadjuk Noongar community representatives Freda Ogilvie and Lance Morich to the Planning Committee will help ensure Aboriginal people are appropriately represented and engaged throughout the course of the Committee’s work.
