Last updated:

The Working with Children (WWC) Screening Unit hold regular online sessions and also undertakes regional and remote engagement activities across the state. The goal with these events are to make sure that individuals and organisation representations have the ability to better understand the WWC Check.

Regional and remote activities

Join us as we travel across WA to 'Explore the Check!', providing information about the WWC Check and helping individuals and organisations understand their rights and obligations.

Our latest regional and remote activities will be taking place in the Kimberley region. From 10-18 June we will be visiting the following towns:

  • Kununurra
  • Wyndham
  • Halls Creek
  • Fitzroy Crossing
  • Broome

If you are in any of these areas, and want to meet with us to share your experiences with the WWC Check or unpack any issues, email us on WWCEvents@communities.wa.gov.au and we will arrange a time that suits you.

Online sessions

We hold regular Ready, Check and Go! workshops, Parents and Guardians information sessions and Ready, Check, Chat! consultations with organisations. In addition to this, we also hold online session for specific sectors, based on campaigns we are promoting.

Register for one of our free sessions through our Eventbrite page  or subscribe to our quarterly e-newsletter to stay on top of what campaign related sessions are being held.
