Learn and develop integrity knowledge and skills

This part of the integrity framework is where the authority builds the integrity knowledge and skills capacity of its workforce.

Learning and development are proactive, planned for and reinforced from an officer’s first interview to their exit from the authority.

This section covers:

4.1 integrity education and capacity building

Raising awareness about integrity standards, practice and challenges helps public officials recognise integrity issues when they arise. Likewise, well-designed training and guidance equip public officials with the knowledge and skills to manage integrity issues appropriately, and seek out expert advice when needed.
