About the program

Attracting and retaining Aboriginal people to our diverse and talented workforce is essential to delivering culturally appropriate healthcare and improving the health of the WA community.

WA Health’s Aboriginal Cadetship Program offers Aboriginal university students the opportunity to have paid work experience while studying an undergraduate degree.

The program provides the opportunity to develop skills and abilities, and establish personal and professional support networks, while laying foundations for a career in the WA public health sector.

Cadets are required to complete 52 work days over a 12 month period.

This is a fantastic way to discover future employment opportunities at WA Health.
