About our program

The Office of the Auditor General 12 month graduate program is for recent graduates looking to start their career as an auditor. You will be involved in varied and rewarding work that could help to improve transparency and accountability within the West Australian public sector. You will have exposure to both State and local government operations, allowing you to understand the roles each organisation plays within the greater Western Australian community.

In 2024, we are looking for graduates across three streams – financial, information systems and performance audit..

Attributes we are seeking in candidates

  • Financial audit – completed a degree with a focus in finance, accounting or similar
  • Information systems – completed a degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information systems management or similar
  • Performance audit – completed a degree in a range of qualifications
  • Beyond having a degree, we are looking for graduates who are enthusiastic and willing to learn, have an interest in analysing and interpreting information, and are team players, with strong communication skills
