Who we are

The Insurance Commission of Western Australia is a state owned Government Trading Enterprise providing motor injury insurance to 2.7 million Western Australian motorists and managing the self insurance arrangements of the WA Government.

We generated $1.3 billion in revenue in the 6 months to 31 December 2024 and hold nearly $9 billion in assets, making us a major self funded statutory authority.

About the program

In 2026, we are welcoming graduates with undergraduate qualifications in:

  • Communications / Marketing
  • IT / Cybersecurity
  • Organisational Psychology
  • Occupational Health & Safety / Work Health & Safety
  • Business / Commerce / Economics.

You gain valuable skills, receive professional guidance and have the opportunity to contribute to projects that directly benefit the WA community. Employment is offered on a 2 year fixed term contract, with the possibility of permanency.

Graduates may be placed in areas such as:

  • Insurance (Claims, Customer Service, Business Support, Fraud Prevention and Detection)
  • Corporate Services (Finance and Investments, Information Technology, Legal, Policy, Communications, Human Resources).
