The yearly State Wage Case sets the minimum pay and award wages. Pay increases usually apply from the beginning of the first pay period that starts on or after 1 July each year.
This WA award summary applies to businesses in the state industrial relations system.

- as developers, printers, mounters, retouchers, colourers, enlargers and finishers of photographs;
- in the maintenance and repair of cameras and photographic equipment;
- as photographers;
- as receptionists employed in portrait, advertising and commercial studios; and
- taking photographs in addition to performing other work listed above.
