Building and energy has identified safety concerns regarding LPG gas cylinders with old POL valve outlets when attempting to connect the new LCC27 LPG appliance connections.
Old POL LPG cylinders are NOT compatible with new LCC27 LPG appliance connections.
Consumers attempting to connect a new LCC27 LPG appliance connection to the old POL LPG cylinder valve risk gas leaking, potentially resulting in an explosion and causing serious harm.
Building and Energy has produced official WA Government signage highlighting the importance of having the correct connection.
Retailers are encouraged to print and display these signs alongside gas appliances and related products. There is a range of different signage sizes to choose from.
