This publication is a summary of the Retail Pharmacists Award. The Award can be viewed on the Western Australian Industrial Relations Commission’s website

The yearly State Wage Case sets the minimum pay and award wages. Pay increases usually apply from the beginning of the first pay period that starts on or after 1 July each year.

This WA award summary applies to businesses in the state industrial relations system.

Page 2 of the WA award summary lists the businesses and occupations covered by this WA award. 

This award covers employees at retail pharmacies and/or dispensaries working as pharmacists, pharmacists-in-charge, pharmacist managers, trainee pharmacists (interns) and pharmacy students.

Please note, this award does not cover pharmacy assistants. Pharmacy assistants are covered by the Shop and Warehouse (Wholesale and Retail Establishments) Award.
