Commissioner’s Operating Policies and Procedures: Detention Centres

COPPs operationalise relevant legislation for custodial operations at Banksia Hill Detention Centre and enable staff understand the job they have to do, and how they need to do it.

The Department of Justice is currently implementing the COPPs and will replace the current suite of custodial operational instruments. This implementation is scheduled to be completed by 30 September 2021.
