Community Policy Unit - Department of the Premier and Cabinet

The Community Policy Unit is a part of the Aboriginal Engagement and Community Policy Division. It provides strategic advice to the Premier and other Ministers on key social policy issues and projects and supports Government to achieve its economic, social and wellbeing objectives. This can include leading and coordinating cross-Government policy development and implementation in areas of focus.

The Unit also provides support to the following committees:

  • Human Services Directors General Group (HSDGG) Secretariat: directs and implements cross-government social policies.
  • Supporting Communities Forum Secretariat: supports the development of strong, collaborative relationships between Government and the community services sector to address complex challenges and emerging issues.
